I Don’t Know Why

I don’t know why I am starting here,

I don’t know where I am going,

I don’t want to stay here,

I don’t want people to know the fit I am throwing.

I don’t want it to be about I,

I do want to know the reason why,

I am unfurled inside.

I have hope for the future,

I have fears for humanity,

I am scared for the future.

We all need to care,

We all need to bear,

Those who cannot bear themselves.

We all need compassion,

We all need to share,

For those who have nothing for themselves.

I know everyone is unsure,

Inside,

I know everyone has doubts,

Inside

But the answer is always for the world,

The answer is always for happiness,

The answer is for peace,

These are the words in my speech.

Bones turned to dust

Fake faces with spikes behind them,

Fake promises with lakes behind them,

The water swallows you,

While the spikes impale you,

You fall off the train,

Bouncing to quick to complain,

Your momentum stops,

But your still on the clock.

Broken and shattered,

They tell you that doesn’t matter,

Get off the floor,

Go out the door,

Time to work those bones,

Use your broken arms to pile stones,

The fractures become worse,

The strain makes you curse,

But you have to move on,

You have to sing your song.

But the world can’t help,

The people are broke and selling kelp,

You move forward each day,

Whether or not you pray,

Because opportunity is there,

But death comes first you fear.

Hey bud you got a dollar?

I share and share,

I care and care,

I cry and cry,

I buy and buy,

The world dismisses,

The work is dismissive,

I fight for a dollar,

I scream and holler.

This world needs to let people live,

Everyone needs to care and give,

Spread it around,

Hear a cheering sound,

As everyone is appreciative,

Compassion should be indicative,

Of people everywhere,

So we can live in cheer.
